Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Brevitax ("Service"), operated by Brevitax, Inc. ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

These Terms apply to household subscribers, tax professionals using Brevitax Pro, and team members added to a firm account.

2. Description of Service

Brevitax is software for Discovery, Strategy, and Execution on IRS tax accounts — starting from source records (including transcripts) and continuing through tracked forms, deadlines, and monitoring. The Service includes:

• Discovery reports from IRS records and account timeline views • Strategy and Execution workflows for household and professional users • Financial profile (Form 433-style) intake for ability-to-pay analysis • Optional guided paperwork help (Do It With Me) when offered • Optional third-party integrations you or your firm enable (calendar, e-sign, payments, telephony, bank connection, case-management tools)

Brevitax is software — not a law firm, accounting firm, or tax relief company. Output assists understanding and professional work; it is not legal, tax, or financial advice.

3. Professional Use (Brevitax Pro)

Brevitax Pro is intended for licensed or authorized tax professionals representing taxpayers before the IRS. By registering for a practice account, you represent that you have obtained necessary authorizations (including Form 2848 or equivalent) for data you upload, and that you will use Service output only in legitimate professional engagements.

4. Three layers of reality

Brevitax organizes case work around IRS records (transcripts and notices), financial reality (household economics and ability to pay), and client context (goals and constraints). Software output must be reviewed by a qualified professional before advising a taxpayer or submitting to the IRS.

5. IRS transcript data

IRS transcript data is sensitive federal tax information. By uploading transcripts, you represent that you are authorized to possess and process the data, that you have obtained informed consent where required, and that you will comply with applicable laws including IRC Section 6103.

We process transcript data solely to deliver the Service. Transcript data is not sold or used for advertising.

6. AI-assisted analysis

Some features use AI-assisted analysis. AI output may contain errors. All deliverables must be reviewed by a qualified professional before reliance. The Company is not liable for decisions made without independent professional review.

7. Fees and payment

Brevitax firm-volume plans start at $99/month (Practice — up to 50 cases/month). Firm and Scale tiers are listed on the pricing page. Per-seat pricing with unlimited cases — add seats as your firm grows.

Included: complete platform access, unlimited team members within your case-volume tier, Discovery, Strategy, Work Verification, workflows, reports, collaboration, and standard support. Optional e-sign envelopes ($0.75 each when sent through Brevitax) and standard Stripe Connect payment-processing charges when you collect client payments.

Pricing may change with 30 days' notice.

Payment is processed through our third-party payment processor. By providing payment information, you authorize us to charge the applicable fees.

8. Data security

We use encryption in transit and at rest for uploaded tax data. See our Security page (https://brevitax.com/security) and Privacy Policy for retention, deletion, subprocessors, and how to report security vulnerabilities (security@brevitax.com).

9. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, BREVITAX, INC. SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES. TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED FEES PAID IN THE THREE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by California law. Disputes shall be resolved in state or federal courts in Los Angeles County, California.
